an atypical 21st?
So I finally turned the “big” 21 on Monday (the 5th) and tried my very best to make it as non-cliché as possible. I’m not exactly sure if I succeeded (given the fact that I did get pretty drunk, albeit MUCH later in the evening), but it was probably more laid back than what most people do on their 21st? I grabbed lunch with Sabrina at Le Pain Quotidien on W. 8th and 5th Ave… great sandwiches! I’d also have the hot chocolate again… it wasn’t sweet – bitter… dark… yum…
I ran into Alex after my last class and we headed over to his place on the East Village for some tequila shots/margarita. It really didn’t sink in at all. After gospel choir, I headed out to Nolia for dinner. It was so quiet in the restaurant that evening. They had Casablanca playing in the background… the lights were dimmed… and I was sipping on a mojito while my friend indulged in some martini… it was very chill.
Then, it was pretty much over for me…. until Sebastian showed up to prep for our R&B songs the next day. I headed over to his room, and we got absolutely nothing done (lol) That’s so typical of us… that’s basically what happens each time we “plan” for these things.
We watched random shit on YouTube and laughed ridiculously loud the entire time. Then, I was gonna turn in after 1:00am, but then Billy had to throw down his last minute greetings…oh and Mike made an appearance as well
so it was about another hour.
Jameson’s Irish Whiskey sits really well with me… uh huh *sarcasm* I was pretty drunk after a quarter of the glass I was given… eventually left Sebo to sleep… went to my place… drank a little more with B-Mack… music… very drunk after another glass… then EXTREMELY hung over the next day at work.. I spent all day, the next day, sobering up
maybe not so atypical, then?
(more plans for drinking tonight – we’re trying something different though – shochu and sake – definitely testing that limit)
